The Museum of Modern Art

Working in MoMA’s Architecture in Design curatorial department, I co-organized over 12 exhibitions, ranging from small, timely displays, to full-scale interdisciplinary presentations that spanned the Museum’s collection.

High-Touch for MillerKnoll

Developed as MillerKnoll’s flagship presentation during NYCxDesign, High-Touch brings together, for the first time, works by legendary designer Ward Bennett and his protégé, Joe D’Urso. The exhibition includes rare pieces, original sketches, and unseen prototypes, showcasing the designers’ shared late-20th-century approach to total design that was extremely hands-on, and highly customizable.

I conceived and organized an exhibition on the array of new cultural projects emerging throughout Qatar as the country builds for its future. The curatorial framework elevates key nation-building goals in the form of five questions, and posits projects by Herzog & de Muron, OMA, Philippe Starck, UN Studio and Elemental as considered architectural responses. In collaboration with 2×4.

Knoll Interactive Archive

I partnered with Knoll to develop The Archive, an interactive timeline of the company’s history. I curated, researched, and wrote new timeline entries spanning over 100 years of design, and uncovered the many personal and professional connections linking the design luminaries and institutions that shaped Knoll's legacy. The new Archive also incorporates the history of KnollTextiles, and spotlights the many contributions of women designers.

Prada Rong Zhai

I developed an exhibition and publication celebrating the reopening of Prada Rong Zhai. This early 20th-century Shanghai mansion was relaunched in 2017, after a meticulous four-year restoration, as Prada’s cultural venue and China hub. The exhibition presented an annotated interior highlighting decorative details, materials, and restoration stories, alongside films exploring the house’s history and craftsmanship. Contemporary architectural models and materials showcase the brand’s ongoing engagement with architecture and culture.
